Does anyone use Sharpcap with the above camera? If so, what are the optimum gain/exposure settings for LRGB and NB imaging? This camera seems a little unusual in that it doesn't have a Unity gain, and in Sharpcap there does not seem to be an option for setting offset.
Thanks,
Neil.

Re: ZWO ASI178MM
Hi Neil,
the lack of a unity gain is just a 'feature' of this sensor - the number of possible digital levels in the output is larger than the number of electrons each pixel can hold, so no unity gain. To be honest I'm not convinced that there is anything 'special' about unity gain in terms of it giving better results in the first place, so I wouldn't worry too much
For the ZWO camera models, use the 'brightness' control as offset - they do the same thing.
cheers,
Robin
