ASI294MM-Pro Bin 2 Sensor Analysis
ASI294MM-Pro Bin 2 Sensor Analysis
I need some help on how to run the sensor analysis for Bin2 on an ASI294MM-Pro since the sensor program restricts to Bin1 only. I read in a prior message that an update might be released that would use the color space selection to select Bin2 behind the scenes. I just downloaded the latest version 3.2.6473.0 and there does not yet appear to be a way to do this. Is there a way to run Bin2 yet ?

Hi,
sorry, no way to do this yet - it's still on my TODO list and will also end up in SharpCap 3.3, not 3.2 (3.3 is in beta testing right now).
cheers,
Robin

Any update/progress on this yet? Just got my ASI294mm-p a couple a days ago and tried a sensor analysis and it wouldn't let me do it in normal bin 2x2 mode.

Hi,
this should be fine in SharpCap 4.0 - 4.0 makes a separate 'read mode' control available to switch between 11 and 47 megapixel modes, allowing sensor analysis in both. You can set bin 1 and 3 in 47 megapixel, 1 and 2 in 11 megapixel - the combinations together actually use bin 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the camera side.
cheers,
Robin
