Re: ASI294MM Pro
Hi,
to be honest, I don't know for sure. I have a new version of the ZWO SDK ready to go in an update for SharpCap unfortunately the change log they have provided just says 'fixed bugs'!
I hope to have this version available online within a few days, so if 6433 does not work, try the next update.

Hi Bruce,
the very latest version of SharpCap that I've put online just a few days ago has the September update in it, so if you update that you should be fine.
Cheers, Robin

Hi Bruce,
that's good to know – hope you get some clear skies soon to test out your new toy. Someone must have been buying a lot of Astro equipment here in the UK as we've had rained solidly for the last two days and its forecast to continue cloudy for the next week.
Cheers, Robin

Re: ASI294MM Pro
I think I am about to give up AP. I have had about a total of 6 hrs of good skies to image over the past 3 months.
We are still in hurricane season with tons of rain with thunder and lightning storms. We are expecting at least another 10 days of this. It makes the hobby tough to enjoy after continued bad weather and even after I built a really nice observatory above my 4-car garage. I guess I should stick with model railroad building.
If or when I ever see a few clear nights, I will give it and the SX-694 a spin- assuming I don't forget how to use SharpCap by then.
This is all I can get with the new 294mm pro- a 4x300s Ha (5nm, Chroma) of a piece of M42, as you would expect using a c11" EdgeHD @f/10. A total of 20 minutes between the clouds at pre-dawn- ugh!

Re: ASI294MM Pro
Robin,
I have ASI224 mc and most recent arrival, the ASI294mc. No problems with the 224 connection to SharpCap, but I cannot get anything from the 294 camera other than a black screen. I have latest version of SharpCap (Nov. 24, I believe).
Advice?
Jim

Re: ASI294MM Pro
Hi,
I've seen some discussions that the more recent cameras from ZWO and others actually require 12 V power before they will operate properly. This would certainly be worth trying if you haven't already. Other than that, make sure you are using the USB cable that came with the camera with no extensions to begin with and try adjusting the turbo USB setting to a lower value to see if that helps.
Hopefully other 294 MM owners may chip in with any advice that they have.
Cheers, Robin
