Hi,
I have an issue with dropped frames on my ASI183MM and it seems to be much worse when doing polar alignment. It starts out okay and doesn't drop frames but after a period of time it begins dropping frames and gets gradually worse and makes it tough to complete polar alignment. I have tried multiple laptops and the steps in the USB troubleshooting post. I have attached the log file from last night. Let me know if there is any suggestions to help resolve this.
Thanks

Re: Dropped frames on ASI183MM during polar alignment
Hi,
The category of dropped frames showing in the log indicate that the problem is due to the frames arriving from the camera faster than they can be processed by the polar alignment routines. The two choices you have to improve this are to increase the exposure a bit or to select 2 x 2 binning which will reduce the image size and allowed the frames to be processed much faster by the polar alignment routines.
Cheers, Robin

Thanks, I switched to 2x2 bin and that solve it.
And thanks for creating SharpCap!
