Problems with QHY268C in native mode
Re: Problems with QHY268C in native mode
Hi Stefan,
You need to revert to SharpCap 3.2.6477 as there is a problem with later releases. I performed an update last night and all stopped working correctly. Reverting to the older release solved the problem and I could start imaging with the QHY268C again. Incidentally this problem also affected my ZWO camera - so as best as I can tell has nothing to do with QHY drivers or SDKs.
Good luck.
Paul

Re: Problems with QHY268C in native mode
Hello Paul,
thank you for the info.
But as said before, updating the QHY driver to the latest version solved my problem.
I am running the latest SharpCap version 3.2.6482 currently without issues.

Re: Problems with QHY268C in native mode
Hello,
I have the same problem with the QHY268c and the latest sharpcap version.
But only since I connected the QHY5III462c.
The QHY5III462c works fine. Unfortunately not anymore with the QHY268C.
I uninstalled and reinstalled SharpCap. However, the problem persists.

Hi,
I see that there was another SDK update from QHY last week - I will include that in today's SharpCap update if it tests out OK on my cameras - maybe that will help.
cheers,
Robin

Hi Robin,
Ok great. I will test it as soon as I can download it. Thank you!

Hello Empire,
alerted by your message I just tested my QHY174M-GPS, QHY5III462c and QHY268C in SharpCap (in that order), no issues.
I run SharpCap version 3.2.6482 and QHY's SDK version 21.03.13.
Weird.

Hi Vichman,
Do not you also have the problem that when changing the exposure time, it always needs at least twice as long until the frame appears?

Yes, I also see this behavior, but only with the 268C, not with the other cameras.
And for the 268C this only happens only sometimes, and then only for the very first frame after changing the exposure time. All subsequent frames have been OK so far.
But in earlier versions this was a major issue, there every frame was taken twice.

Re: Problems with QHY268C in native mode
Hi Stefan,
with my QHY268C, this problem occurs at any change in exposure. After that everything runs correctly.
Does this problem have a negative impact on the sensor analysis?
In any case, the results are not identical to those of QHY, e.g. Full Well Capacity
Or how does the analysis behave in the smart histogram?
Many greetings
Didi

Re: Problems with QHY268C in native mode
Hi,
so the new QHY SDK is now in SharpCap 4.0.7572 (https://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/sha ... s/4-0-beta). I'd be interested to hear if there is any improvement in the behaviour of the 268C in this version (particularly in 'still mode' where I would hope that the double exposure length problem should be fixed).
