maintain save image type parameter

The method is bound to be in Sharpcap somewhere to answer this question,
When I set the image type to fits for a session with my QHY8L this parameter is not preserved in the next invocation of the program. All the other parameters I have set are preserved.
To set it I turn off Auto and select fits in the appropriate area,

Is there a reason for this or have I missed something in the set up procedure?

Any pointer would be welcome..

Hi,

SharpCap has an automatic feature that changes the output format between video files and still image files as the exposure changes. This chooses between your 'preferred' video and still image file formats, which can be selected in the first page of the settings. If you want can turn this feature off entirely, also on the first page of the settings.

Basically, this means you need to either turn the feature off entirely or set your preferred still file format to FITS.
