Omegon vetec355 Color

Hello
I am new in one shot camera and bought this one. After instal Ascom platform6.5, Omegon pro Ascom driver, lunch Sharpcap 3.1. After selecting the camara through the camera menu, setup window open than clic OK. Then imidiatly open other window named: “Error initialising camera” with the content “An error occurred while starting your Ascom OmegonPro Camera Driver” details: entry point not found….Report this error if it occurs frequently.
Well it occurs all the time.

System Laptop I5 win7 ultimate SP1

Does anyone can help.

Hi Antonio,

sounds like SharpCap is reporting an internal error coming from the ASCOM driver, but hard to be sure.

Some general troubleshooting would include

* uninstall and reinstall the ASCOM driver
* try using the ASCOM driver from different software to see if you get the same (or similar error)
* Try a newer version of SharpCap - 3.1 is very old now
* If still no success, make the error happen then get the text of the SharpCap log (which should include much fuller details about the error) and post it here.

Hi,

I see that you get the same error in the log when you try to open the ASCOM simulator camera - this makes me wonder if your ASCOM platform version is perhaps the issue here - maybe it is a long way out of date? How about trying to update that to the latest ASCOM platform version (6.5sp1 I think).

Hi

I´m afraid that I have downloaded the last version Of Ascom Platform that is "ASCOMPlatform65SP1".
I have meanwhile uninstalled all the sofware and wil reinstall in sequence again.

In fact is a driver issue- If I use Touptek driver the camera works fine but only in Sharpcap 4.0. In version 3.1 even in 3.2 the error messages continue and don´t load the camera.

Hi,

good news that you have got it working - and good news too that it works in 4.0 (I am not updating 3.1 or 3.2 any more, so any bug fixes would be in 4.0 anyway).
