Classroom use

#1

Post by jmgoldba »

Can I get permission to install SharpCap on about 15 lab computers for the community college class I'm teaching? I'd like the students to run an exercise or two using the built in device simulators. (I wish I could pay but I'm but a humble adjunct who had to buy his own white board markers :)

Thanks,
Jesse

Hi Jesse,

yes, of course - you can install the free version on computers in an educational environment and use the software for teaching. If you are planning on using the test cameras then you even get to use most Pro features too, since those are unrestricted on the test cameras.

Just for the record (I know you are not planning on buying the pro version) - anyone who does want to use the pro version in a business or educational environment needs to purchase one license for each computer the software is installed on.

thanks,

Robin

For the record I plan to purchase the Pro license for use in our observatory with our high speed imaging hardware. That effort is independent of the classroom use. Thanks again, Jesse
