File extensions

#1

Post by melvin »

Hello, can anyone help this computer illiterate aged person please. I am having problems with an avi. file and have been told to upload the said file to flicker or astrobin, I have looked and looked after opening Sharpcap, in the settings but cannot see where I can change the file extension to a tif, png or what ever. Astrobin will not let me upload a file unless it is a tif, jpeg Etc. I need to send the file for someone to have a look at so they can tell me where I am going wrong, anyone help?

Hi,

you need to adjust the 'Output Format' control to change the save file type - see https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/2.9/#!2!Cap ... and%20Area. You will need to turn it off of 'Auto' before making manual adjustments. There's a checkbox in the settings so that you can stop it from setting to auto when you start the program too (https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/2.9/#Start% ... 20cameras)).
