ASCOM is your answer

SC use Ascom to control your mount, and You can control you mount via WIFI only using Android device.

Did you control your mount from a PC via WIFI usinge some software ? No

The problem is not SC but AZGti:
you NEED a cable to control the mount using ASCOM
THEN
you can control the mount using SC

hi

I control my AZ GTi by PC and synscan app for windows via WI_FI
I dont use android tablet or phone
I want to replace synscan app with Sharpcap for the control of the mount while keeping the WI_FI connection
in other words
Initially I connect to WI_Fi by the synscan app then I switch to Sharpcap thanks to ASCOM drivers for AZ GTi
does the mount remain coonected ?
or
is the EQMODE cable a must

Hi,

This works very well:

Start your AZ-GTi, switch on notebook's WIFI, start synscan app on the notebook, from the app connect mount (per WIFI, no cable required).

You must have ASCOM installed. Using an ASCOM hub allows for connecting several clients to the mount at the same time.

Optional, but recommended: Start CDC/Skychart (or other similar program). From CDC, via ASCOM-Hub, connect to the mount. Now you can see the mount's position in CDC, can make GO-TOs and so on.

Start SC, from settings/hardware/mount select Generic Hub, connect cam. Now you can connect SC to the mount. A very recommendable feature is platesolving ...

Hope this helps
