ZWO EAF Focuser
ZWO EAF Focuser
I just purchased a ZWO EAF Focuser to replace my Celestron Focuser. I was wondering if there is a automatic focuser routine in Sharpcap Pro and can I tell Sharpcap Pro to perform a automatic focus between subs?
Re: ZWO EAF Focuser
Sure is....see documents here https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/17_Focu ... c523950208 I think to focus on planets you will still have to control the EAF but deep sky can be automated.
It will take some practice but once you dial it in the tool is very robust and consistent. I use the multi-star FWHM tool. Get focus using your current method or mask. Once in focus adjust the settings until Sharpcap (not your eyes but Sharpcap) detects 75-100 stars. Then rack the focuser out about 200 steps and send it through the routine and see if it comes back with the proper location that matches what you had with the mask. Don't forget that backlash can throw your numbers off if not properly compensated for.
