Hello
On a Losmandy G11 mount I have the following two configurations installed
SCT Celestron C9.25 + Pegasus FocusCube + ZWO ASI533 + ZWO EFW
Astro Professional ED80 APO refractor + USB_Focus + ZWO ASI533
Only one configuration is active at a given time
I would like to be able to define in SharCap two hardware profiles and activate one or the other
Is it possible ?
Thank you
Louis

Re: Hardware profiles
Hi Louis,
SharpCap 4.0 has the ability to have separate profiles with different settings for things like selected focuser, filter wheel, etc.
https://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/sha ... s/4-0-beta
You need to run SharpCap with command line options to activate an alternate profile - for instance
Changes you make to the settings in 'instance 2' will not affect the default instance and vice versa. You can create a desktop shortcut with the command line options if you want.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Hardware profiles
Hi,
there's no actualy saving - basically you /instance option with an instance number (2-9) and the first time you do that it copies all your default SharpCap 4.0 settings into a new storage on the computer that is used by instance 2.
From then on, changes you make in instance 2 don't affect your default SharpCap and changes in the default SharpCap don't affect instance 2. That means you can have multiple shortcuts on your desktop (say 'SharpCap', 'SharpCap #2', 'SharpCap #3') and the first will use camera A and focuser X, the second camera B and focuser Y and so on.
It's not quite the hardware profiles idea you were looking for, but it comes close.
cheers,
Robin
