I have been using the ASI Studio for a few weeks, thought I would give Sharpcap a go instead, out on Sunday night with a clear night for a change although a bit of Moon about 60% glow.
Spent a few hours daytime reading up on the software manual and youtube videos, anyway, considering I am over 70yr old and a novice with Sharpcap I spent 2 hour at 20sec subs at under 300 Gain ( sorry forgot exact gain) on a reasonable difficult target Reflection Neb NGC7023 Iris Nebula on Alt/Az mount from my Bortle6/7 backyard.
I used a Optolong L-eHance filter, pleasantly surprised after putting the Fit files through DSS then Levels and Curves in PSCS2 .
Long way to go but looking good for me.
ps: I have a couple of questions to ask but will wait before I do.
