What Exactly IS Live Stacking?
What Exactly IS Live Stacking?
Definite newbie question here, but could someone please explain exactly what live stacking actually is? So far I've only attempted planetary photography, and would click on "Start Capture" and then choose the settings, such as just taking a two-minute video or going for something like 5000 frames. In this process, a video comprised of frames is obviously captured over time. From what I know, it seems like live stacking also captures video over time (which is the whole point of such cameras). So what makes live stacking different and more appropriate (or even necessary) for deep sky photography? Thank you.
