With the latest version of Sharpcap, I can finally use my main camera as well.
For the routine of sensor analysis, does the camera need to be cooled to the temperature you want to use during the photos?
I do not think so.
In live stacking, are dark or flat applied to the photos? As master ?
Finally the QHY 8L works.

Re: Finally the QHY 8L works.
Hi Paolo,
great to hear that the camera is working now – this must have been a bug fix in the latest QHY SDK.
For the sensor analysis there's no need to cool down the camera – SharpCap doesn't run exposures of much longer than one second (maybe up to 2 seconds) during the analysis, so the amount of thermal noise that can build up in that short time is negligible.
Cheers, Robin

Re: Finally the QHY 8L works.
I tried it now and with the drivers sharpcap cannot use the gain of the ccd.
Re: Finally the QHY 8L works.
If I don't use the ascom drivers the program crashes instead. If I use them there are no controls for gain offset etc.

Hi,
it sounds like it hasn't been fixed by the latest SDK then
Since the QHY8L is a CCD camera, I wouldn't expect there to be variable controls for the gain anyway (and properly not the offset either), so you probably aren't missing out on much by using the Ascom driver. If that's working I'd stick with it.

Re: Finally the QHY 8L works.
In previous versions of sharpcap, as soon as I connected the camera, the program would close.
Last night, however, at least the camera was connected.
With the ascom drivers you do not manage anything, only the taking of photos.
If I use instead of QHY drivers everything is managed but suddenly the program crashes.
