Cannot conect to Sharp cap 3.2

Morning I recently brought a new lap top and now I cannot seem to connect to sharpcap.
When I choose my Altair 183c Pro tec it goes straight to an error.

The Error reads : Safe handle has been closed.

Hi,

firstly, please make sure you are using the latest version of SharpCap 3.2 (3.2.6442). Second thing to check is that the camera is connected to the laptop via the original cable with no extensions or hubs. If you try both of those and you are still seeing problems then please capture the contents of the SharpCap log after the problem has occurred and post it here for me to investigate further.

Finally, another important thing to check is that the camera works correctly and other software like Altair Capture – if you can't get it to work in any software then it is more likely to be a driver or hardware issue than a software issue.

Morning Robin, firstly thank you for getting back to me.yeah I have just recently brought a new laptop and installed Sharp Cap but when I select it from the drop down it either completely shuts down or brings up an error message saying.
Safe Handle is Closed.??
My camera ( altair 183c Pro tec ) briefly worked yesterday after I swapped the USB 3 cable but the did not work about 30 minutes after when I tried it again.
I have never had this problem before.

Make sure all the Microsoft .NET framework is up to date. That error indicates a bit in that direction.
It can happen dat Windows doesn't update that by itself, so use the manual Check Updates in Windows and see if there are .NET updates.

Hi David,

thanks for posting the logs – I've moved it here from the bug reports thread to try and keep the discussion together. I've also removed your email address, otherwise you will end up getting lots of junk mail as the email address will get harvested by spammers web crawling programs.

The log here does look very typical for USB connection issues – the initial communications which detects the camera and set up the controls works nicely, but trying to get the camera to run fails because it requires much more data to be transferred.

Did you get a chance to try the camera with Altair Capture? I would be very interested to know whether you see the same problem (or a similar problem of no images arriving) using that program.
