AsteroTortilla Problems

#1

Post by smithn00 »

I have Installed AT as per tutorial. I click on Plate Solve and AT starts its process. A few seconds later I get this message in part:
address space needed by 'cygcrypto-1.00 dll' (ox1CD0000) is already occupied.

Hi,

something else running in your computer is using the memory address that the cygwin system wants to use in AT. The usual culprit for this is antivirus which usually goes to great length to get itself into every single process that Windows runs.

The trick to fix this is to run a special script that should be part of the AT installation if you look for it - check out the instructions here

Tried to execute the stated string /usr/bin/rebase-trigger full. Response "No such file or directory."
/bin/rebase --help does not show a key word "full" or "trigger".
This is a good bit above my skill level.
can anything else be done?

Hi Smithn00

I've been a long time user of Astrotortilla and once working it works fine. Seeing as you're having trouble with the cygwin subsystem may I suggest you give ASTAP a try. Very easy install and configuration. I also found it to be way faster in plate solving. Check it out here:

Good luck, Chris

Another would be to try the alternatives to AstroTortilla - Ansvr and ASPS both use the same engine, but maybe dodge the problem you are having
