Surface Pro X compatibility
Surface Pro X compatibility
Does anyone know whether Sharpcap can run on the Surface Pro X? Because it’s based on ARM not x86, would suspect Sharpcap would need to be emulated to work.

Re: Surface Pro X compatibility
Hi,
I looked this up and apparently the Surface Pro X has automatic emulation for 32 bit x86 applications but not the 64-bit ones. That means that the 32-bit version of SharpCap *might* work, although it would probably be very slow.
A more serious problem may be that there might not be drivers for the ARM version of Windows for most astronomy cameras and even if there are drivers, who knows if the SDK software included in SharpCap will happily talk to the ARM version of the driver.
Cheers,
Robin
