How does the black level and noise reduction affect the focusing score with the fwhm I get a score of about 392 maybe 400 that's about as good as I can get any advice would be appreciated

Hi,
With the focus score tools, the exact value doesn't matter – the key is to get the lowest value that you can (for FWHM) or the highest value that you can (for the contrast-based tools). The black level and noise reduction adjustments allow you to make sure that pixels and background noise are excluded from the measurements – if you don't do that then they can mask the signal that you are looking for.
