Hi I am thinking of getting a new dslr camera currently I have a Canon T3i 600d and have been looking at the above camera. My friend has one of the above so I went over to his place taking my laptop. I opened Sharpcap with the camera ( 6d) turned on and connected to my laptop but it did not show in the drop down menu, so I looked in settings to see if there was somewhere I could click on that camera but I could find nothing. Can anyone advise me as to what I should do. If there are drivers required Etc. My 600d works fine so if drivers are required are they specific to a camera, even if it is the same manufacturer I.e Canon.

Hi,
there is no direct support for Canon cameras and I am not planning to add it (I was thinking about it at one point).
There is an ASCOM driver that someone else wrote and I fixed a few bugs in that works for some people but not others. I'm not able to provide support for the ASCOM driver but am hoping that someone else might pick it up and develop it.
There is also a Webcam driver I think, Sparkocam maybe?
