SCap control of electronic focuser?
I use SCap almost exclusively for my imaging. I just bought a ZWO Electronic Auto Focuser. Is there any way to control it via SCap?

Hi,
If the focuser has a connection to the computer then there should be a piece of software called an Ascom driver for the focuser – if you install that and another piece of software called the Ascom platform then that should enable SharpCap to control the focuser.
Once you have those pieces of software installed, check out the SharpCap manual – particularly https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/3.2/#Hardware%20Tab and https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/3.2/#Focuser%20Control

Yes it helps and I just downloaded the ASI software needed. I already have the ASCOM platform installed. This will solve a problem I ran into last night with my electronic focuser. I couldn't change focus on my AT65EDQ unless I used ASiair (Raspberry Pi based app). That app has some challenges so I'm reverting to my usual SCap and laptop. I wasted a whole night and clear nights are at such a premium these days. Many thanks Robin.
