Hello!
I need to know if is it possible to grab and stack lunar videos with an alt-azimth Mount.
Does SharpCap de-rotate the single frames?
Best regards, Danilo

Re: De-rotation with alt-azimuth mount?
Hi,
There's no need to do any de-rotation when taking lunar, planetary or solar images as the videos are almost always short enough that no significant field rotation occurs during the imaging time.
The only de-rotation functionality inside SharpCap is the one built into the live stacking tool for deep sky imaging.
Cheers, Robin

The stacking of lunar/planetary videos is usually carried out outside of SharpCap with a program such as Autostakkert which can be found at
