I'm very enthusiastic about the new life-stacking feature in SharpCap ! Congratulations, it is a great tool, especially the limits that one can set to the FWHM in order to reduce the effects of turbulence....

However, is it possible to use the Life-Stack function while setting to the capture limit to a number of frames or time with the "Start Capture menu (i.e to stop the imaging after for example 3 hours ) ?"

In the latest version of SharpCap 3.2 there is an advanced option for life stacking to allow it to automatically save, reset and start a new stack after a particular period of time. At the moment the maximum time you can select for this is 60 minutes, but other than that it sounds very much like what you're looking for.
