License being rejected

#1

Post by r042wal »

I purchased an Altair GPCAM2 130M a few weeks ago and installed the drivers and SmartCap 3.1 on my imaging laptop. SmartCap recognized the new camera and I claimed my free one year license.

I went out imaging for the first time a few nights ago and discovered my laptop did not have enough resources to handle my Altair, PHD2, ASCOM, PoleMaster, etc.

The RAM was not up upgradeable so I moved everything over to a different laptop, installed my Altair drivers and SmartCap 3.1. SmartCap is rejecting my request to claim my license because the serial number of my camera is already registered. How can I fix this?

Thanks

Hi,

you should have received the license key in an email when you first claimed it - you can use the key from this email on your new laptop. If you can't find the email then please check your 'junk mail' folder or you can get it re-sent to you by visiting https://store.astrosharp.co.uk/Recovery and entering the email address you used to claim (don't worry about the receipt time bit).

cheers,

Robin
