Hello..in my case when I do measurements of e/ADU at both bit depths the ratio is clear. They don't tinker with the gain, that would be easy to spot as it would break the ratio of 16 between the e/ADU values. Actually, that's a bit of an overgeneralization.I had a sample camera of a large pixel sensor that did some fancy changes to the gain when it went into 8 bit mode. I had some issue with hardware assembly of my Pixel sensor. The PCB Assembly provided by company is not upto that mark and i think i can be improved to avoid any hardware related issues.

Hi all,

Could the difference you're seeing come down to slit differences in hardware from camera to camera? Maybe the ram buffer from vendor x compared to vendor y introduces z +/- signal. Several of the broadcasters on NSN, including myself, have ASI294 MM Pro and there seems to be some difference in performance. The difference is very minimal but has been noticed. This perceived difference could also come down to seeing and optical train but it's also been seen just making flat frames.
