Looking for alpha testers...

#1

Post by admin »

SharpCap 3.1 is starting to get to the stage that some features are ready for testing (others aren't even started yet, but that's another story...). It's nowhere near ready for public beta testing, but it would be useful to have a small group of people test the features that are ready to provide feedback on them and try to flush out as many bugs as soon as possible.

The features that are currently suitable for testing are

* Live Stack sigma-clipping
* Starlight Express camera support

[There will be more features coming soon]

If you're in a position to test out either of these and are OK with testing pre-beta quality software that may have interesting (and sometimes silly) bugs, then please reply. I will create a private group for Alpha testers here on the forums to announce new builds and allow discussions of the alpha builds.

cheers,

Robin

Robin

I might as well get involved - ready for the next documentation effort.

Hi Robin,

I might give it a go using the ASI071
Clive.

Hi Robin,

I can test the live stacking using Altair Astro GPcam2 mono if the clouds ever clear.

Thanks guys, I will get back to you shortly. I was hoping to get something sorted out this weekend, but the one extra feature that I wanted to finish turned out to be more complex than I thought.

I probably have enough volunteers in the list above for the moment.

cheers,

Robin

Hi Robin,

I'm in, especially since I asked to get my SX25C up and running with SC. I have two ZWO 1071's and the SX25C.
cheers,
