SharpCap - a new dawn :)

#1

Post by admin »

Hi folks,

since it's the first proper working day of the year here in the UK, I thought it would be a good time to announce that from now on SharpCap is changing from being a hobby project that I try to fit into my spare time to a full-time day job that will (hopefully) pay the bills and keep food on the table

Right now, I have a long long list of ideas for new features to go into SharpCap 3.3, so I will be working on those - you certainly should notice SharpCap 3.3 beta builds appearing more frequently and having more new content in them than before. Hopefully the whole pace of development can accelerate substantially. Hopefully we'll get to a full version of SharpCap 3.3 much faster than would have happened otherwise.

So, a big thank you to all of the SharpCap users out there - particularly those who have taken the plunge and purchased SharpCap Pro licenses - without you, this wouldn't even be possible!

cheers,

Robin

And that means that 2021 is already a lot better than 2020. :)

Hello Robin,

"Right now, I have a long long list of ideas for new features to go into SharpCap 3.3"

Think that 3.4 comes after 3.3, or it could be 4.0.

May be, if each user gives you a new idea per year, then we can have a +1.0 version each year.
Also ... 100 users give 100 new feature per year ... yes, you will be busy :D

Regards,
Jean-Francois

Robin:

You are doing an outstanding job. Sensor Analysis is a peerless feature. I want to run it on all my cameras.
