Hi Robin,
I've been using my Hypercam 183C in ASCOM mode in another piece of software and am transitioning to full time SC-Pro (hence some of my other posts).
I am looking to find details on how you convert the ASCOM gain into the SC gain (which I assume is approximately an ISO value).
I have a dozen or so profiles I want to import and if you have an equation or graph I can use that would make it easier, and seeing as I am here is there a file location where this is stored so I can skip using the in app dialogue for speed.
Thanks in advance.
Phil

Re: Converting Camera Gain to SC Gain
Hi Phil,
the ASCOM driver shows the gain as a multiple of the lowest gain value, so 1.00x, 2.50x, 6.00x etc.
SharpCap uses numbers that are 100 times bigger, so the equivalents in SharpCap are 100, 250, 600 etc.
As you point out, the SharpCap numbers are a bit like ISO values except that the minimum value for a camera is always 100 and other numbers are relative to that, whereas ISO numbers have some absolute definition.
cheers,
Robin

Thanks, that will make life easier.
What about the file location for the profiles?

Profiles located here, normally drive C:. Replace David with your username.
It is a hidden folder so Hidden Items needs to be checked in Windows File Manager.
