I've been a Neximage guy until yesterday. I got my 224MC, set it up and acquired Jupiter. I turned on what I thought would be an AVI. Lo and behold it turned out to be an SER (never heard of it before). I checked under File>SharpCap settings and indicated I'd prefer AVI. The only thing now visible under the Capture and Format area are FITS, TIFF, PNG and SER.
Surely I've done something obviously wrong. Please advise.

Re: SER files vs AVI
Hi,
most likely you have set the camera into a mode that is not supported by AVI files (like a bit depth of >8), so the AVI option vanishes.

Re: SER files vs AVI
Thx. I’ll check this out.
In the meanwhile I stacked in Autostakkert with SER files with the greatest of ease.
