Recently I acquired a ASI290MM camera.
In Live Stacking: when I "Save as Viewed", the image isn't as viewed.
Example: M 82
Thanks in advance for help.

Re: Stacking - Save as Viewed
I believe that you are referring to the brighter image being shown in IrfanView than in SharpCap - this I think is only going to happen when you are using a 16 bit mode on the camera.
8 bit modes are easy - the image that gets saved has a bit depth of 8, your screen has a bit depth of 8, Windows works by default with a bit depth of 8 and everything looks the same. When you are in a 16 bit mode, everything has to be converted down to 8 bits before being displayed on the screen. SharpCap does that by dividing every pixel value by 256, but other software may have a different approach.
In essence, save as viewed means that the data that goes into the saved PNG file is the same image data that is being used to display the image to you in SharpCap, but it doesn't guarantee that the way another imaging program displays that image matches the way that SharpCap displays it.
cheers,
Robin

Try opening your png's in Paint. I've noticed that when opened in Windows Photo gallery or Viewer they're radically different, but in Paint they seem fine.
