Smart histo ROI

#1

Post by chongo228 »

Playing with the smart histo settings. It says to point at a dark area of the sky or to select a dark area of my field of view.

Do I select a dark area with the FX selection tool and move the red square over a dark area? Or do I change the capture area of my chip. Say 400x400 and move it to the dark area?

If I reduce the size of the chip to measure sky brightness does it mess anything up when I go back to full size?

Hi,

I'd suggest using the ROI selection tool (red square), but the other way would work. It's not going to mess up if you select a smaller camera capture area and then go back to full screen and it shouldn't let you measure with binning enabled (or at least you shouldn't even if it will let you!)

cheers,

Robin
