Dithering without livestack

Post by zerolatitude »

Hi,

Came across this post on CN. Is there no way to dither in SC without either livestack or using the sequencer?

Hi,

that's correct, but the sequence planner makes it pretty easy to do.

* Go to the planner (either via the menu or start capture then the 'deep sky' button with your camera already selected and configured)
* Untick just about everything except in the guiding tab at the top where you can configure your dithering
* Leave a single 'light frame' row in the capture list - set the number of frames you want.
* Press 'Run'.

The next time, your settings will be remembered for you, so you can just press Run...

cheers,

Robin
