Hi, I have just started using Sharpcap PA and found it quite easy, ( at 70 yr old its nice to sit down and PA) I begin with Polaris center in my Telrad, after the rotating stage approx 90 deg I can adjust up/down ok to get Good or Excellent PA, however, I have noticed some folk get a lot closer to the NCP after their 90 deg rotation than I do, hence they have less up/down adjustment to do than I have making the process a bit quicker, am I missing any hint or Tips here .
Regards Eric

Re: PA Alignment
Hi Eric,
where Polaris ends up in view doesn't really matter. The most likely cause is that your finder/guide scope (assuming that is what you are using) is not quite perfectly aligned with your main tube/mount axis (ie it is pointing a bit off to the side - maybe a degree or so). That really has no effect on the accuracy of the SharpCap PA result, so you don't need to worry about it.
cheers,
Robin
