Playback speed

#1

Post by KnoxW »

When I record (in avi) then go to a media player (Windows Media Player for example), the playback speed is only 30fps despite that I had recorded at 120fps.
How can I get playback speed to what I recorded?

Thanks,

Hi,

there isn't a setting in SharpCap to adjust this, but you can try using a tool like the one mentioned here : https://superuser.com/questions/45250/f ... f-avi-file - basically the frame rate is just a single data field in the file/frame header, so I presume this tool just changes that field.

Another option is to save to SER format and play back using SERPlayer - SER files have a timestamp on every frame and SERPlayer offers a realtime playback mode. You can also probably using PIPP to convert the SER to AVI and that may (never really tried) retain the correct frame rate.

Hope this helps,

Robin
