Robin
I have been told that I may not have to conduct a sensor analysis because they come preloaded with the ZWO cameras. Is this correct?
Thanks Mar k

Found the two files for the camera in 8 bit and 16 bit, looks like it is a bin file. Not sure what to do with that info, Does SharpCap pick this up when I attempt to do a sensor analysis. Little confused.
thanks Mark

Hi,
yes, SharpCap will use those files when you access a camera if there is a file present for the camera that you are using. That means that you don't need to do a sensor analysis for most popular models of camera, since SharpCap comes with the data required.
SharpCap understands how to read those binary files. If you want the sensor analysis data in a format that can be used by other applications such as NINA then you need to perform your own analysis of your camera and you also need to have a SharpCap Pro license to ensure that the measurements get written out in text format rather than binary format.
Cheers, Robin
