Hello and Happy New Year!
I'm pretty sure this topic has been covered before, but I can't find it. I just started dithering and LOVE the results! However, I'm wondering if I have the settings wrong or if what is happening is just the way it works. Let's say I'm doing a 60 second exposure and dithering every four exposures. It only takes a few seconds to dither and settle, but then SharpCap runs through at least one complete exposure and most times it runs through two. This is really adding a lot of time to my evenings and not getting the desired amount of stacked images. I travel to my sites, therefore any time wasted is lost sleep!
Can anyone shed some light on this situation?
Thank you,
Scott

Re: Dithering Taking Too Long
Hi Scott,
if your SharpCap is up to date then there should be a 'Reduce Exposure while Dithering' option right at the bottom - enable that and you get 1s exposures during the dither which should resolve this problem.
cheers,
Robin
