Basic Debayering question

I just started using a ZWO ASI294MC for DSO. I have used Deep Sky Stacker for a while, but never with FITS files. Sharpcap generates RAW16 FITS files whose headers state that the image has a GBRG bayer pattern but with the curious comment that you should use instead RGGB for processing the image with pixinsight. I took my first series of test data (with a very bright sky) and ran it through DSS, setting the pattern to GBRG. It doesn't look right. It looks monochrome. But after experimenting I get the impression that RGGB is actually the correct pattern to use for DSS also.

Can any one confirm that I should tell Deep Sky Stacker to use RGGB for processing this FITS data ?

If that is true, then is the "GBRG" in the sharpcap FITS header wrong, or is there just something different about the way DSS and and pixinsight interpret the data? Confusing.

Thanks for any clarification.

Consider

RG
GB

If the processing software reads 1st row then second row the pattern is RGGB

If the processing software reads 2nd row then 1st row the pattern is GBRG.

This is down to the processing software.
