Hi,

it shouldn't be anything to do with the focal length – most people use it with a 200 mm focal length guide scope which should give you really good results and 135 mm isn't really that different from that.

The two possibilities that immediately come to mind are the smaller angle of rotation and the possibility of something flexing as the rotation happens.
