Greetings,
Newbie here. Using a ZWO294MC Pro with Sharpcap Pro. Captured shots of NGC7000 (North American Nebula). Sharpcap was set to save images as PNG files (probably should have set it for FITS). The images are all monochrome when viewed in PS or any other application. Any advice on how to make this color or has that ship sailed on these subs? Any idea what I did wrong? I have attached a link to a sub in case someone can assist.

Hi Steve,
your images have been captured in RAW format, which means an additional step is required to recover the colour information - see this thread : viewtopic.php?t=254

Perfect! Whew! If I save as "FITS", can I avoid the step that requires PIPP?
Thanks for the excellent support.

Yes. I happened to use PIPP to demonstrate how to get around the issue and rescue the subs. The post processing software (e.g. Astro Pixel Processor) will debayer the FITS frames based on information in the headers (see BAYERPAT).If I save as "FITS", can I avoid the step that requires PIPP
