I was trying to image the moon with live stacking and I kept getting an error msg "sharpcap can't align frames". It was dropping all the frames. The moon was filling up most of the frame so it may not have picked up any stars. Would this have causes the error. Thanks
Wayne

Re: Sharpcap can't align frames
Hi,
The stacking feature in SharpCap is designed to stack deep sky images that have plenty of stars in them and are coming in at a rate of one image every few seconds to every few minutes. SharpCap isn't capable of stacking high speed lunar/planetary/solar images in real time. The best thing to do for that sort of imaging is to capture a video in SER format and then feed it to 1 of the stacking applications such as Registax or AutoStakkert which do a great job of producing stacked images of this type.
Hope this helps, Robin
