Copy Sensor Analysis Results

#1

Post by remyastro »

Hi all,

I have SharpCap PRO and I have performed sensor analysis for my various cameras.

When I copy the sensor analysis data on my clipboard I get Excel Comma Separated Values (CSV) files which I can convert into Excel files.

But what I get then are spreadsheets which do not contain all analysis data! (See attached copy)

What did I wrong?
How to get spreadsheets with all information including Measurement Graph and complete Results?
Where are these data stored in my computer?

Thank you for your help!
Cheers

Hi,

I don't think your attachment worked quite properly, but when you copy the data you only get the data from the table, not the graphs – you should however get the full data that is shown in the table. You can recreate the graphs once the data is pasted into Excel if you want.

Sorry Robin,I was facing problem to include the attachment.

I have edited again my post from where you can now upload the file ''Sensor Response".

How is it that I had only part of all the data in the excel spreadsheet compare to the completed table I got at the end of the sensor analysis?

Thank you again for your help.
Cheers.

Hi,

I just ran the analysis on the 183M pro that I have here and everything seemed to work as I'd expect – once the analysis was completed I pressed the 'copy data to clipboard' button and pasted into Excel and got the full data table in Excel – see below.

I'm sure you must be doing something that is subtly different to this, but I can't quite work out what yet.

Hi,

I can now copy the sensor analysis results into excel spreadsheets :D .

But I didn't find these files in my computer as mentionned. I tried searching files as 'SensorCharacteristics' in my computer but with no results.
Are all sensor analysis results automatically stored in the computer (I mean not only the last sensor analysis) ? and where can I retrieve them, if I haven't saved them manually ?

I ask again the question, because when I change camera during an imaging session I'd like to re-use the Smart Histogram Brain Window for each camera without running again sensor analysis.

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

If you look at the link to a different thread that Dave posted further up, it gives the position on the file system where you will find the analyses files. The folder is inside a hidden folder, so you will need to make sure that Windows Explorer is showing hidden files and folders.

Hi Robin, Hi Dave,

Thanks to your previous explanations, I can now get and save my sensor analysis results.

As I am very interested in using the Smart Histogram Brain Window to reduce as much as possible the read noice in my pictures, I have carried out the sensor analysis for my prefered cameras, i.e. Altair 183C PRO and Atik 314L mono.

Below are the results about which I have questions:
183C RAW12.docx
(289.27 KiB) Downloaded 122 times
183C RAW8.docx
(749.94 KiB) Downloaded 96 times
314L.docx
(686.29 KiB) Downloaded 95 times

I do not undersand why 183C Raw 8 graph looks so different from Raw 12 one?
I do not understand why 314L results table has only one line and empty graphs? What wrong have I done?

I have performed these tests several times with same results each time.

Could you please explain these sensor analysis results?
Thank you for your help.

Cheers, remy
