SC and TheSkyX with POTH

Hi,

I am trying to use POTH driver in order to share at least the mount, EQ6RPro, between TheSkyX and Sharpcap 3.2 64bits.

But i get an error when i connect the mount on the second tool.

So i tried to start both tools with admin rights, and it works, i cn connect th emount on both tools.

If i start TheSky normally, and SC with admin rights it works also.

If i start TheSky with admin rights and SC without, i cannot connect on both. Err 206 on TheSKy, or error on the image attached when the error comes from SC.

Hi,

Yes, that's expected behaviour. If the first application to connect to the mount is running as admin then the mount software gets run as admin which then prevents non-admin applications from connecting to it (this is Windows enforcing security – unfortunately nothing we can do about that).

thanks now its working, TheSky was launched with auto admin rights so i did the same with SC, and both can start and get the control over the mount.
