Hi,

yes, I think I can make a version of the install that will display in Japanese if I translate the content of the text file I included in my previous post - it's not quite the same as for WinJupos, but I think I can get a similar result.

This is a first attempt at making a translated version of the installer text (using Google Translate). I have just tested and the translations here do show up when installing on Japanese Windows - this will be in the next update. Corrections to the text welcome.

Hi,

yes, it looks like there were some blocks of hidden text in the master copy of the documentation which come through in the way you have noticed in the HTML versions - I will remove those for v4.0

Next week's SharpCap 4.0 update will have the translation working for the installer - I would be interested in any comments on the accuracty of the translation.

Hi,

In my case, the translation tool "DeepL" (https://www.deepl.com/app) seems to be highly accurate, so I use it in conjunction with "Google Translate" to supplement it.

Hi,

honestly, that's not really something I can do - the reason is that the legal agreement contains clauses that are designed to ensure that I have no liability if someone uses SharpCap for something illegal (and I'm sure you can appreciate that there are *many* illegal things that a video capture application can be used for). If those clauses are translated into Japanese then I have no idea if they really mean the same as they do in English, and that could be a problem.

Can you add a "Help" button to the ShapCap menu window so that it opens directly to the relevant help text page?
