Hi Robin,

Thank you very much for contacting me.
I didn't know that, but recently I didn't notice it because I was devoting myself to the Japanese translation of the German planetary photography software "WinJUPOS" program.
Completed last month:(http://www.grischa-hahn.homepage.t-onli ... wnload.htm)

I will introduce the 4.0 beta version to Japanese users on my blog.

Please contact me if you have any help in proceeding with the rest of the translations in the future.

Best regards,
Watanabe

Hi Robin,

Concerned about the SharpCap 4.0 user manual・・・.

SharpCap examines the translation file and converts the English text into the translated text, but especially Japanese documents (function explanation) such as the new function "Sequencer Tool" are indispensable.

Also, I have to wait for Sam from Japan to modify the Japanese JSON file (.json), but I also have to consider the consistency match between the program language (character string) and the user manual (document).

Hi,

so far the user manual updates for SharpCap 4.0 haven't been written - I will start working on those after SharpCap 4.0 is basically finished (probably in the next month or so). Once I have a version that is complete enough to share I will announce it here on the forums.

cheers,

Robin

Hi Robin,

I understand, I'm looking forward to the completion of the user manual.
I'm ready to translate it into Japanese.
This time, we are planning to translate English text directlyusing "EmEditor".

Hi Robin,

<SharpCap 4.0 Japanese User Manual Editing Plan>

We plan to replace the images in the English version of the display program with the images in the Japanese version of the display as much as possible in order to maintain consistency with the Japanese translation text.

In the image below, the left side is current and the right side is SC4.0 help (planned)

Hi Robin,

Is there a plan to prepare a "SharpCap4.0 install script.txt" ?

The example image below is "WinJUPOS install script EN JP.txt". (Japanese translation on the right)

Hi,

that's not something I have considered before - I *think* it may be fairly simple - if I had a translation of this file then I could includ it in the installer and it would be used automatically in Japanese Windows installations. It will be interesting to try!

In the translation, only the text between <String Id="SomeId"> and </String> should be translated and anything in square brackets (like [WixBundleName] should be left as is.

Hi,

Is the question wrong?
Let's use WinJUPOS installation as an example again. The following image shows the Japanese translation of the "WinJUPOS install script EN JP.txt" text file, which is displayed in Japanese during installation. You can do the same thing when you install SharpCap?
