Using different languages in the user interface

#1

Post by db48 »

Hi,
have you considered the possibility of using different languages in the user interface? This feature is available in competitors like, for example, Nebulosity. I suppose that nowadays there are other priorities, but in the future is could be interesting to allow international users to choose over a variety of different languages.

There is actually a partial translation to Chinese courtesy of ZWO, but that was done some time ago and lots of new UI has been added since that is only in English. It's actually quite a bit of work even to get the code into shape to allow translation of the new bits, something that will have to wait for now sadly.

cheers,

Robin

Hi,
we defenitely must have the option to choose the language - at least to choose English.
Translations may be nice to someone but it's not easy to do good translations.
No problem when changing the language requires restarting SharpCap (like in KStars).

Hi,

see

viewtopic.php?t=3714

for more details on how the translations work and

https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#Display%20Settings

for documentation on how to return to the English UI.

cheers,
