Automated Flat Frame Exposure and Gain

#1

Post by jsawaski »

Is it possible to do for flat frames what you have done for light frames?

By this I mean, an automated process that measures the flat frame and determines the best exposure and gain.

Typically this is a much simpler thing to do than to expose for optimum deep sky imaging - a good guideline would be to set minimum gain and offset and then expose according the the guidelines in the capture flat window (which tells you if you are too bright or too dark).
