Move the image in the window

#1

Post by carlomuccini »

Deep Sky imaging

The camera sensors are getting bigger and bigger and to see the whole image and check if the subject is centered it is necessary to set the zoom to AUTO.
However, to check different areas of the image I need to set the zoom to 100% and to move around I need to use the horizontal and vertical side bars; it would be useful to use the mouse together with a key such as Ctrl to move the image in the window, as many graphics programs do

Hi,

you can already do the following:

CTRL+Mouse Wheel to zoom in/out. Once the image fills the screen, the point under the mouse stays constant as you zoom in/out, so you just hover over the area you want to examine more closely and CTRL+Wheel Up.

Mouse Wheel - vertical scroll of image

SHIFT+Mouse Wheel - horizontal scroll of image.

Hope this is helpful,

Robin

I´m using Sharpcap Pro mainly in Live Stacking mode to search the image for comets and supernovas.
For this I zoom into the Live Stacked image and move the zoomed image for searching through the whole image.
The moving bei using: Mouse Wheel - vertical scroll of image and SHIFT+Mouse Wheel - horizontal scroll of image is possible but not very comfortable.

-->Therefore I would very welcome it, when it is also possible to move the zoomed image by clicking into the image and hold the left mousebutton to move the image smooth on target!

Hi,

Ok, ok :)

I've implemented this, but *only* for the New UI version (viewtopic.php?t=4875). In the latest version, just uploaded.

cheers,

Robin

Hi Robin,

Would it be possible to display the current zoom factor when zooming with the mouse (preferably next to the mouse pointer)?

Thanks, Christian

Hi,

I will try to make the zoom box always display the current zoom factor rather than 'blanking' when it is not close to one of the predefined selections - that will be least intrusive I think. (Note, this will be new UI only)

cheers,

Robin
