Robin -
I actually tried doing what you suggest by having the sequencer go to points at 45 degrees alt and various azimuths. However, using the current version of EQMod with my EQ6, I got an error from EQMod: SlewToAltAzAsync is not implemented in this driver.

No problem going to RA and Dec coords though.

It seems a bit odd that EQMod wouldn't permit a move to AltAz - does that seem correct? In the event that it is, do you have any ideas for how to do this that can be done without configuration each time?

Thanks!

Hi Peter,

I think this might be one of those things that is easiest for me to work around – if the telescope doesn't support SlewToAltAz then providing the time and location are known, the altitude and azimuth coordinates can easily be converted to RA/dec and sent to the normal SlewToAltAz call.

I will put it on the to-do list.

Cheers, Robin
