Hi,

Unfortunately is not practical to use that particular approach in SharpCap as the pixels that behave as 'hot' vary as you change both the gain and exposure of the camera (and to some extent as the temperature of the sensor changes).

SharpCap does have an automatic hot pixel removal function built in when you are using dark subtraction – that detects pixels that are statistically abnormal in the dark frame and ensures that the value from those pixels is discarded in the final image frame and a value from a nearby pixel of the same colour is used instead.

+++ for dark frame subtraction! This is really the only accurate way to remove hot pixels and that is why people who image use it along with removing dark current.
