Captured on Anglesey (Bortle 4) in the field where my caravan is sited, 27th Aug 2021, 67% waning moon. The Milky Way was visible during the capture of M27.
Celestron AVX mount, Vixen 81s refractor, 0.67x reducer/flattener, Altair 183C.
NGC7635+M52 50x60s (stack best 45). M27 90x60s (stack best 75). Gain=200, Black Level=20. 50 darks, 50 bias, 50 flats.
Processed with Astro Pixel Processor 1.083 beta2+ GIMP 2.10.
For both images, APP reported frame quality from 300 down to 100 - perhaps not such a clear night then? The tide was in around midnight, which meant a lot of moisture in the air.
Note the rich star fields of the Milky Way and the reddish/brown colour caused by the interstellar dust.

Yep, that's it.
It's still pretty bright but (again) slowly dimming. And red too, even in Ha it's showing really red.

An interesting wide vista there. A big advantage of refractors. Just in the process of trying to get mine up and running again also for a visit to what I hope will be darker and clear skies in Wales next month. It's always more of a challenge to get everything working quickly away from the home location.
The nova was a great spot. The bright flare ups must be quite irregular - whenever a particularly large amount of matter falls onto the white dwarf. I wonder how many are 'caught' by Astromomers and how many pass by unnoticed?

Both images were captured in a field where my caravan is sited (on Anglesey, Bortle 4). I had everything trimmed down to the simplest possible configuration, used widest field of view and left the guider at home.
The Nova is down to Menno.
